I am very excited to announce that, for the eleventh consecutive year, Gartner has recognized Microsoft as a Leader in the 2015 Magic Quadrant for Client Management Tools (previously called Magic Quadrant for PC Configuration Life Cycle Management).
If you are a Gartner client, you can find the report here– but we’ll be sharing a complimentary copy here soon.
I’m sure it goes without saying that we’re thrilled by this result.
We believe this confirms the value that thousands of companies are finding in the client management capabilities built into System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager. We also think this report validates our vision to integrate System Center Configuration Manager with Microsoft Intune: Help customers extend their existing infrastructure to manage corporate-connected PCs, Macs and Unix/Linux servers along with cloud-based mobile devices running Windows, Windows Phone, iOS, and Android – all from a single management console.
I’m so excited I said that last sentence in just one breath.
To see this vision in action, take a look at the Aston Martin case study. Aston Martin used Configuration Manager and Microsoft Intune to create an integrated infrastructure that supported their remote sales and engineering staff.
Also: Check out my earlier post about the convergence of Client Management Tools, Identity and Access Management as a Service, and Enterprise Mobility Management. Microsoft is one of the only vendors positioned by Gartner in all three Magic Quadrants.
